Gems of the Soul

My mind a sharpened diamond,
And ruby red my heart.
But one has sliced the other through;
And broken them apart...

Your ruby blood I turned to dust,
Has not been shed in vain.
But emerald envy stands to take,
The noble from the sane...

Those sapphire eyes,that shimmer bright,
Peered deep into my soul.
The heart of gold that saved my life;
And gave to me a role...

The moon, its surface opal white,
Reflects all that is mine.
It merely shows the light of sun,
As my fate reflects thine...

The shards are sinking slowly,
In these waters cobalt blue.
And as I drown,I cannot help
But fondly think of you...

The amber glow that lit my heart,
Had died so long ago.
A topaz shadow left behind,
Refuses to let go...

This world has nothing left for me,
That has not gone to you.
My soul, it bears more garnet wounds,
Than ever you went through...

So take this pearl of knowledge,child;
Be careful with your heart.
I trusted once three crystal souls,
And each ripped me apart...
